when i told kailani this bear was smiling, she says it's happy cause it's at paw-paws! xoxoxo :)
that's so sweet! you can tell she thinks it is a happy thing to be at paw paw's! you're lucky to have her so close to you guys. i'm so green with envy!
btw, just talked to kay on phone. hope you can use some of the stuff i left there for you today. if you still have the exercise machine, i'd like it now. made room for it on our front porch. :)
a swing or bench for outdoors is on the list for mama for spring. gonna start shopping for it. i want it near our walkway so she can rest if she doesn't feel like walking. she loves the outdoors so much. i don't want her to feel cooped up inside all day in weather like we've been having (not counting all that rain we just had!).
sometimes we get caught with our pants down... :-O
ben told me not to post any more pics of him pottying on the internet. :) poor little boys. they are just so CUTE caught with their pants down like that!
We actually have one around here some were. Aaron took of his dad..his dad had a little work hat on. Hmm might should find it.... :) ( blackmail or something)
i have one i took of gma at tyler. made her really mad! but i really only snapped her shoulders up. she didn't know that tho, hence the indignation. :) she is still just as modest!
hope you can use some of the stuff i left there for you today.
we practically have placed everything already, there are angels on the door steps, corbel curtain holders in the bath with a scarf matching the shower curtain, porcelain dolls in the bedroom, it goes on & on..... the exercise machine is here, and, you're welcome to the bench Curtis built. if you want it, let me know, i need to waterproof it.

Great that you found a use for the stuff! I knew if you didn't use anything else, you would be glad to see the box of cheese. :)
Did you find the little sticky on the black shelf? It tells you that I have two more like that one. They are NIB (new in box). I never used. I will need to get them out of the closet in the LR (behind the sofa).
I'm sure there are a few more things here I will bring by. I'm doing my "spring cleaning" so stuff is on the way out the door, much of it nice like the corbels I left today, or the elephant. I have another set of corbels in the top of the kitchen closet I can get down if you can use. Same size as the ones I left today but a different style. I also should have some smaller ones. I had two sets, one in white and one in brown and they are somewhere. Probably top of kitchen closet also.
The ultrasuede panels were meant for Anthony's room, to match the comforter and shams I got him at Christmas.
Would love both the machine and the bench! I had not thought of Curtis's bench making when I mentioned but that's excellent for us! Weather-proofing would be imperative as it's intended for out front. Thank you so very much!
I have to go by Larry's in Ferriday tomorrow to pick up meds I forgot today as well as the pharmacy here in Harrisonburg. Also have papers fm Dr Ingram to deliver to We Care in Jonesville - couple of scrips and a med delegation saying he "trained" me to administer mama's meds so the job won't get in trouble with the state abt me giving her meds. Also mean to get as far as Jigger to do laundry, if I can squeeze that in too. If I get anything else dug out tonight, I may drop it by yr place on my way through.
The gardening is high priority just now, what with the weather holding out so nicely and easter just around the bend. I thought I had purchased jalapeno plants and intended to split the six pack with you. Turned out I picked up pimiento peppers but left you half anyway. I'll just have to pick up jalapeno plants on the next run.
Speaking of picking up, the fabric to complete yr LR curtains is at LeeAnn's so I'll get that too and try to finish that project in short order for you. I need to nab this 5x7 rug fm here that I promised for your BR so you can see if you can use it. I got it when I got the sleeper sofa. On sale at northeast furniture in Jonesville, but still overpriced at $200. :\ Right colors and might look good at the foot of yr bed with that bench, but you can chk it out to see what you and Kay think.
later and love. the pics are great. thanks for posting!
I have just passed another milestone, my ninth year anniversary on my
present job. There was no fanfare, no bells, whistles, or confetti, not
even an acknowledgment of a goal seldom reached in the notoriously
revolving door of the hospitality business.
In my young and restless days, I would have strongly considered moving on
after five, so, how did this happen? Maturity, you say? Complacency?
Losing sight of a vision of always moving up and onward? I can tell you
now, those restless feelings are still there, but somehow, somewhere,
they are reshuffled to the back of the deck, to make room for the
different hand that has, more recently, been dealt. Impulse gives way
to reason, and desire yields to necessity.
If there is one bit of advice I have for the new generation, it is to make the most of the
spontaneity and vigor with which you envision life's challenges and
crossroads, for these are the moments that will define you as you
approach that "oh, so far off middle age".
Seldom is life so generous as to give you that second chance, which is in us all, to
start anew, and if by circumstance we do, we are not the same. There is
no fearless desire to run naked through the woods (although I've done
it a time or two at far, far, too old), there is no expediency to being
number one in the crowd. There is no longer "Me" and "Now". There is
however a different kind of boldness. I am not afraid of things that go
bump in the night. No longer do I fear hunger, or illness, or
unemployment, nor despair, because I have been visited by all these
things, and I have endured, and I know there will be tomorrow.
With our increasing age comes our greatest strength, and this is experience,
and the wisdom to pass it along to our children, and to theirs. In this
day and age there are many who may contemplate that there is no God,
or, there must be many Gods, but now, more than ever, I can fervently
say, and without a doubt, God bless my children, and keep them from
harms way, for where I lead them, they will follow.

The
direst foe of courage is the fear itself, not the object of it, and the
man who can overcome his own terror is a hero and more.
- -- George MacDonald
"Go placidly amid the noise & haste & remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly & clearly; and listen to others, even the dull & ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud & aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain & bitter; for always there will be greater & lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not fein affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity & disenchantment it is perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue & loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a Child of the Universe, no less than the trees & the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors & aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery & broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy." -Max Ehrmann ["Desiderata"]
